Our Story

Founded by Charlotte Rimmer, MD, Aide de MD was born out of a deep passion for developing leaders and a belief in the transformative power of accountability.

Charlotte’s experience as a leader, mentor, and coach has shaped our approach to leadership development, which is grounded in real-world experience, practical application, and personalised support.

Recognising the further you advance in your career, the more isolated you become in parallel with an increasing need for critical thinking and strategic people management.

A Journey From Accident To Aide de MD

It all started with a jolt. Literally. Over 20 years ago, I was managing a team for a company in Sydney when a motorcycle accident abruptly sidelined me. Lying in the hospital, I had a revelation. The company, the team I poured my heart and soul into, was incredibly dependent on me. My knowledge, my plans, my presence – everything seemed to reside in my head. There was no system, no real infrastructure to enable anyone else to truly step up in my absence, unable to take time off, delegate effectively or grow professionally.

That experience sparked a fire in me. I realised how vulnerable businesses can be when they rely too heavily on one person. It wasn’t just about me; I saw this pattern repeated in countless organisations. Leaders were trapped by their own businesses, unable to take time off, delegate effectively, or truly grow.

That’s why I founded Aide de MD.
