Our Team Expands. We’re OK, are you OK?
I would like to introduce Angela Middleton to our team at Aide de MD.
Angela and I met a couple of years ago at an AICD company directors’ course in Byron Bay and we clicked straightaway. We talked a lot throughout the time; while getting lost on our way to town and during a long walk with Sarah, another wonderful participant. We met lots of fantastic people who supported and guided each other through a highly recommended program.
I always thought that I would work with Angela, and over the last six months that opportunity has arisen. She left her senior leader position with a bank over a year ago to develop her own business as a consultant utilising the experience she has gained over the years.
Angela has coached and mentored many people to build on their strengths and improve their confidence. She knows how to get the best out of people through an engaging, collaborative style to deliver great personal and business results.
She joins us to work on our Management Immersion Program which we are running across a variety of organisations.
MANAGEMENT IMMERSION PROGRAM
Our Management Immersion Program (MIP) is an inclusive, hands-on combined coaching consulting program for managers within your business. Over 3 months, we guide participants through a series of topics while discussing real and current scenarios. We aim to build management knowledge alongside confidence and skills.
The team gains purposeful management knowledge and skills required to run effective, collaborative teams. A focus on accountability frameworks, decision making, authority and communication as well as real scenarios increases confidence and awareness.
THE PAST MONTH AT AIDE de MD
We’re in lockdown in Sydney which is challenging, and the key to this time is attitude and gratitude. I have 3 very different roles as Aide de MD which I love.
- Leading our team towards developing new and existing program content. This ensures we deliver to our clients consistently and efficiently. We guide them towards independent growth through clever, sustainable infrastructure.
- Mentoring CEOs and MDs; working with them to find solutions and enable them to achieve their goals.
- Business advocacy. As a volunteer, I represent Manly Business Chamber. Over the last fortnight we’ve had interviews with BBC World, Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, amongst others and sat on the Manly Economic Recovery Task Force. I’m speaking loudly on behalf of businesses to ensure that we keep them supported throughout this very tough time in our economy.
Alongside me at all times is Sarah coordinating, managing and supporting while home-schooling; arranging meetings from Brazil to Berlin to Singapore to India takes time. Fortunately, we still have a bit of time to laugh and are trying to set up walking meetings.
We love what we do, and I recognise the value of our team. Thank you Sarah, Kristy, Alison, Angela, Shelley and Gill. The support we offer each other is appreciated. It enhances the view that if you love what you do (Simon Sinek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc4FEIYvkQc), you’ll do it with a smile.
My first and primary role is mum, wife, sister and friend. Although I know that my dog Freddy thinks it’s dog walker.
Have a great month everyone. It’s a terrific time to be investing in your team.
